Overall, the markets ended with Sensex gaining 1.67% and Nifty50 shooting up 1.72% thanks to the reducing COIVD cases, possibilities of easing the restrictions from June and positive Q4 results of tech companies helped push the IT(3.9%) and PSU Bank(4%) indices up while Nifty Media(7.09%) gained the most.
In the CNX500, LUXIND(59.38%) and DISHTV(24.22%) were the top gainers whereas VAKRANGEE(-14.99%) and FINEORG(-14.09%) lost the most.
In terms of volume gainers, TTKPRESTIG(13.6x) and INDOCO(13.6x) topped the list.
Investors showed great interest in getting hold of METROPOLIS(17.7x) and KANSAINER(10.1x) for delivery.
FIIs bought a net of Rs.2039 cr(Rs.1753 cr in the last week) and DIIs sold a net of Rs.322 cr(Rs.1318 cr) in the week.
