The derivatives segment closely followed the spot market as Nifty Futures ended the month with a 5.99% gain and BANKNIFTY was up by 8.16% in the month.
BHEL and UPL(top gainer in Nifty50) were the top two in the gainers list for the month of May whereas TATACHEM and NAUKRI were the top losers.
For the near month expiry, long build-up was the highest for PFIZER(310%) and NAVINFLUOR(90%) whereas AMARAJABAT(85%) and NAM-INDIA(84%) were shorted the most. Positions were covered the most in TATACONSUM(-54.9%) and MPHASIS(-48.9%) and unwinded most out of CUMMINSIND(-55%) and GAIL(-34.5%).
