Daily Derivatives Report – 3 Jun 2021
Today was the first weekly expiry of the month and Nifty June 2021 futures closed at 15715, at a premium of 24.65 points over the spot closing of 15690. BankNifty closed at a premium of 126 points, to end the day at 35775.
Among the stock futures, VOLTAS and TITAN gained the most whereas MOTHERSUMI and INDUSIND were the top losers.
Highest OI build-up was seen in TITAN(45.9%) and ONGC(21.9%) whereas DEEPAKNTR(33.2%) and MOTHERSUMI(26.1%) were shorted the most. Positions in GUJGASLTD(-11.3%) and BANDHANBNK(-10.8%) were covered the most and traders were cautious in clearing their positions in APOLLOTYRE(-2.1%) and MCDOWELL-N(-2%).
In the options segment, highest OI addition were seen at 14500(PE)/16000(CE) levels of Nifty and most reduction at 15500(CE) of Nifty and at 35200(CE) of BankNifty. Among the most active stock options, highest additions and reductions in OI were made at 2300(CE)/2200(CE) of RELIANCE and 1700(CE)/1600(CE) of TITAN.
In the market-wide position limits, GUJGASLTD and BANDHANBNK were the top gainers whereas TITAN and DEEPAKNTR lost the most.
BANKBARODA, SAIL and SUNTV were added to the FNO Ban list of the day.
Coming to the FII/DII trades, in the index segment, FIIs bought a net of Rs.559cr of futures contracts and sold a net of Rs.3008cr of option contracts. Among the stocks, FIIs sold a net of Rs.854cr and Rs.246cr of futures and options respectively.
