Daily Equities Report – 15 Jun 2021

It was another day of sustained positive signs in the markets as Sensex and Nifty50 ended at record closing highs. The Sensex closed up 221 points(0.42%) at 52,773, and the Nifty ended up 57 points(0.36%) at 15,869.
Nifty media(2%) and realty(1.32%) gained the most of all the sectors while pharma(-0.88%) and PSU banks(-0.26%) lagged behind whereas private banks was on the other side of the line with a 1% gain.
In the broader CNX500, GMRINFRA(14.4%) and FCONSUMER(13.5%) were the top gainers whereas ALOKINDS(-5.64%) and PNBHOUSING(-5%) were the top losers.
In the Nifty50, ASIANPAINT(2.9%) and HDFCLIFE(1.8%) gained the most followed by Axis and ICICI Bank. DIVISLAB(-1.57%) and ADANIPORTS(-1.56%) were the top losers of the day.
In the volume charts, CREDITACC(18.7x) and GMRINFRA(14x) saw immense interest from traders as well as investors as the two also had highest deliverable change with a 17x and 11.4x spike in their volumes.
FIIs were significantly more active in the markets as the volumes were more than 1.5 times than yesterday as they bought a net of Rs.633cr worth of shares whereas DIIs turned net sellers of Rs.649cr worth of shares.
