Daily Equities Report – 26 Jul 2021
Putting a break to the two day recovery streak, markets today had a volatile half-a-dozen session that eventually ended with losses mostly due to weak global cues. At close, the Sensex was down 123 points(0.23%), at 52,852 and the Nifty was down 31 points(0.20%), at 15,824.
Among the sectors, Nifty metals(0.63%) and pharma(0.37%) managed to be on the greener side whereas, energy(-1.04%) and realty(-0.96%) suffered the most losses.
In CNX500, CAPLINPOINT(19.2%) and ALKYLAMINE(9.5%) topped the price chart while, HUDCO(-6.6%) and CREDITACC(-6.06%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, SBILIFE(4%) and BAJAJFINSV(2.4%) gained the most while, JSWSTEEL(-1.8%) and WIPRO(-1.5%) were the top losers.
PHILIPCARB(21x) and MAHINDCIE(16.6x) saw steepest spikes in volume changes whereas, LINDEINDIA(24.9x) and RESPONIND(22.8x) were lapped up by investors the most.
FIIs continued their selling spree(8th straight session) with further sale of Rs.2377cr worth of shares whereas, DIIs bought(for the 11th straight session) a net of Rs.1551cr worth of shares.
