Daily Derivatives Report – 17 May 2021
In the Nifty Futures, BANKNIFTY saw the highest change(4%) lead by a rally in the PSU and private bank stocks.
In the May series Futures, BALKRISIND and INDUSINDBK were the highest gainers whereas BHARTIARTL and ICICIPRULI were the top losers.
Highest long build up was seen in BALKRISIND(46%) and TRENT(32%) whereas positions in HDFCBANK(-11.6%) and KOTAKBANK(8.8%) were covered the most.
Short positions were taken the most in BHARTIARTL(12.8%) and MINDTREE(9%). Traders unwinded their positions the most out of GODREJCP(-4.9%) and MPHASIS(-4.8%).
In the Index Options segment, highest additions in open interest in May Series was seen at 14700(PE) and 14800(PE) of Nifty Options whereas most reductions in OI were seen at 15500(CE) and 14800(CE) of Nifty Options.
In the market-wide position limits, HDFCBANK and KOTAKBANK were the top gainers whereas BALKRISIND and TRENT were the top losers.
In the Index Futures, FIIs bought a net of Rs.886 cr and net sellers of Rs.4496 cr in Index Options.
FIIs were the net buyers of Rs. 1057 cr and Rs. 119 cr in the Stock Futures and Stock Options respectively.
CADILAHC, BHEL, CANBK, PNB, SAIL and SUNTV were in the FNO Ban list.
