Nifty June 2021 futures closed at 15625 today, at a premium of 49 points over spot closing of 15576.
NiftyBank also ended the day with a premium of 162 points at 35540, courtesy of gains in bank indices.
Among the June series stock futures, MOTHERSUMI and MUTHOOTFIN were the top gainers whereas ITC and AARTIIND were the top losers.
In the options segment, highest OI build-up was seen in MUTHOOTFIN(68%) and MOTHERSUMI(41%) whereas AARTIIND(32.5%) and ITC(24%) were shorted the most. Positions in BANDHANBNK(-11.8%) and HDFCAMC(-8.6%) were covered the most. Traders turned cautious and got out of their positions in ASIANPAINT(-3.26%) and TITAN(-2.81%).
Alongside RELIANCE, ITC and MOTHERSUMI were the most active stock options. Highest OI additions and reductions were seen at 2100(PE)/2160(CE) levels of RELIANCE and 210(CE)/222.5(CE) levels of ITC.
Among the index options, highest OI additions were made at 15450(PE)/15700(CE) levels of Nifty whereas most reductions were made at 16000(CE) and 37500(CE) levels of Nifty and BankNifty respectively.
BANDHANBNK and HDFCAMC gained the most market-wide position limits whereas MUTHOOTFIN and MOTHERSUMI were the top losers.
BANKBARODA, SAIL and SUNTV were the new additions to the FNO Ban list of the day.
In the index segment, FIIs sold a net of Rs.1107 cr and Rs.546 cr worth of futures and contracts respectively. In the stocks segment, there was a marginal net buy of Rs.65 cr and net sale of Rs.8.7 cr worth of future and options contracts respectively.
