Daily Derivatives Report – 31 May 2021
Following the spot market, Nifty June 2021 Futures closed at 15571 today, at a discount of 11.75 points over spot closing of 15582.
NAM-INDIA and SAIL were the top gainers whereas M&M and BANKBARODA were the top losers.
For the near month expiry contracts, NAM-INDIA witnessed the highest long build-up along with TRENT whereas M&M and AUROPHARMA had the most short build-ups. Positions in MANAPPURAM and RAMCOCEM were covered the most while traders got out of their positions in SUNTV and ZEEL.
In the options segment, highest OI additions were seen at 1550(PE) and 15400(PE) levels of Nifty and most reductions at 16000(CE) of Nifty and 35000(CE) level of BankNifty. Among the stock options, RELIANCE and ITC, being the most active, saw most additions and reductions at 2300(CE)/2100(CE) and 220(CE)/210(CE) levels respectively.
Among the market-wide position limits, MANAPPURAM and MINDTREE were the top gainers whereas NAM-INDIA and M&M were the top losers.
SUNTV was added to the FNO Ban list of the day.
Among the index figures, FIIs sold a net of Rs.690 cr worth of futures and bought a net of Rs.2624 cr of options. FIIs were the net sellers in case of stock futures and options at Rs.200 cr and Rs.141 cr respectively.
