Daily Derivatives Report – 4 Jun 2021
In the derivatives market, Nifty June 2021 futures closed at 15699, at a premium of 28.75 points over spot closing of 15670.
IBULHSGFIN and BHARATFORGE were the top gainers whereas NESTLEIND and RBLBANK lost the most in the FNO June Futures Series.
In the June Series UBL(76.1%) and BHARATFORGE(52.8%) saw the highest OI build-up while, RBLBANK(30.9%) and MFSL(24.8%) were shorted the most. Traders were cautious to cover their positions in LTI(-6.9%) and DABUR(-6%) whereas positions in MARICO(-7.8%) and PNB(-7%) were unwinded the most.
Among the index options, highest OI additions were made at 15800(CE)/15700(CE) levels whereas most reductions were seen at 14600(PE)/15600(CE) levels of Nifty.
Of the most active stock options, RELIANCE saw highest additions/reductions at 2200(CE)/2160(PE) levels and that for BAJFINANCE, it was at 6000(PE)/5900(CE) levels.
MARICO and PNB were the top gainers while, UBL and BHARATFORG were the top losers in the market-wide position limits chart.
Regarding the FII activity, they sold a net of Rs.613 cr and Rs.616 cr of index and stock futures respectively. In the options segment, the bought a net of Rs.2791cr of index contracts and sold a net of Rs.260cr of stock contracts. BANKBARODA, PNB, SAIL and SUNTV were put to the FNO Ban list of the day.
