Daily Derivatives Report – 8 Jul 2021
Nifty July 2021 futures closed at 15731.00, at a premium of 3.10 points over spot closing of 15727.90
Among the stock futures of the current series, highest gainers were COFORGE and IGL whereas SAIL and HINDPETRO were the top losers.
Most long build up was seen in NAM-IND(38.7%) and COFORGE(36.2%) whereas most short build up was seen in TCS(21.3%) and TATAMOTORS(16%). Positions in INDUSTOWER(-7.3%) and ASHOKLEY(-4.1%) were covered the most whereas most unwinding was seen in SRTRANSFIN(-7.5%) and SAIL(-7.4%).
In the index options segment, most OI additions were made at 15800(CE) and 16500(CE) levels of Nifty while most reductions in OI were seen at 35600(PE) level of Bank Nifty and 16000(PE) level of Nifty.
Among the most active stock options, TCS and TATAMOTORS, most OI additions were made at 3400(CE) and 330(CE) levels whereas most reductions in OI were seen at 3300(PE) and 320(PE) levels.
INDUSTOWER and SRTRANSFIN gained the most positions market-wide whereas, NAM-IND and COFORGE lost ground.
IBULHSGFIN, NATIONALUM, NMDC, PNB and SAIL were in the FNO Ban list of the day.
In the index derivatives segment, a net of Rs.2937cr of futures were sold and Rs.4687cr of option contracts were bought by FIIs. In the stock derivatives segment, a net of Rs.1085cr of futures and Rs.404cr of options were sold.
