Daily Equities Report – 16 Jul 2021

Following up with three straight sessions of gains, the markets touched fresh highs today in the first hour but, could not keep up the momentum as the day ended with marginal losses. Sensex and the Nifty hit their fresh highs of 53,291 and 15,962.
At close, Sensex closed 19 points(0.04%), lower at 53140, while the Nifty finished flat(0.8 point) at 15,923.
Among the sectors, Nifty pharma(1.16%) and realty(1.14%) gained the most while IT(-1.07%) and private banks(-0.53%) slid below the most.
In CNX500, ANGELBRKG(20%) and CYIENT(12.3%) were the top gainers whereas, AEGISCHEM(-4.2%) and TATAELXSI(-4.1%) tanked the most.
In Nifty50, DIVISLAB(3.5%) and BHARTIARTL(3%) gained the most whereas, HCLTECH(-3.25%) and EICHERMOT(-1.8%) were the top losers.
SUNCLAYLTD(31.2x) INDUSTOWER(20.3x) gained the most in terms of volume as well as deliverable change.
FIIs sold a net of Rs.466cr worth of shares and DIIs bought a net of Rs.666cr worth of shares.
