Daily Equities Report – 20 Jul 2021

The bears seem to like hugging the markets as the benchmark indices and broader indices, all tanked significantly today, third straight session.
At close, the Sensex was down 355 points(0.68%), at 52198 and the Nifty was down 120 points(0.76%), at 15,632.
Among the sectors, only Nifty FMCG ended the day with negligible gains(0.14%) whereas, media(-2.6%), metal(-2.3%) and realty(-2.5%) were the top losers.
In CNX500, ACC(7.3%) and JKLAKSHMI(6.33%) gained the most whereas, DCMSHRIRAM(-8.5%) and ALOKINDS(-7.5%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, ASIANPAINT(5.5%) and ULTRACEMCO(1.8%) topped the charts amid a bleeding session whereas, HINDALCO(-3.7%) and INDUSINDBK(-3.2%) were the top losers.
In the volume charts, ACC(11.8x) and JKLAKSHMI(10.5x) garnered the most interest from market participants whereas, VMART(7.5x) and BIRLACORPN(7.2x) were the toppers in the deliverable changes list.
FIIs continued their selling spree as they were the net sellers of Rs.2835cr worth of shares. DIIs were the net buyers for the eighth straight session as they bought a net of Rs.873cr worth of shares.
