Trailing its Asian counterparts, markets in India took another dive today with Sensex(-0.68%) ending at 49564 and Nifty50(-0.83%) at 14906.
Among the sectoral indices, NIFTY PSU BANK(0.36%) and NIFTY REALTY(1.02%) were the only gainers.
CIPLA(2.38%) and M&M(2.32%) were the top gainers in Nifty50 whereas metal stocks dragged the market lead by TATASTEEL(-5.1%) and HINDALCO(-4.24%).
In CNX500, LAOPALA (18.51%) and TCIEXP(15.66%) topped the charts whereas SAIL(-5.56%) and IEX(-5.41%) and a host of metal stocks were the top losers.
Among the highest volume gainers, JKPAPER(15.4x) and JUSTDIAL(14.4x) topped the list. COROMANDEL(14.56x) and IEX(9.4x) were the top gainers in the deliverable volume category.
FIIs were the net buyers in the cash segment of Rs.71.04 cr and DIIs sold a net of Rs.876.06 cr.
