Daily Equities Report – 22 Jun 2021

The day saw fresh record highs of both the major benchmarks but neither could sustain the highs for long. At the day’s end, Sensex closed at 52588, 14 points(0.03%) higher after touching 53057 and Nifty50 closed at 15773, 26 points(0.7%) higher.
Among the sector indices, Nifty Auto(1.34%) and IT(0.55%) topped the table while all the remaining sectors ended within 1% change.
In the CNX500, VENKEYS(18.5%) and HFCL(16%) gained the most whereas GARFIBRES(-3.4%) and FCONSUMER(-3.3%) were the top losers.
In the Nifty50, MARUTI(5.2%) and UPL(3.9%) gained the most while ASIANPAINT(-1.75%) and BAJFINANCE(-1.6%) were the top losers.
In the volume charts, MAHINDCIE(17.4x) and CERA(14.3x) topped the charts as well as witnessed the highest deliverable change in the day with 25.5x and 34.2x spikes respectively.
In the capital market segment, FIIs were the net sellers again of Rs.1027cr worth of shares while DIIs bought a net of Rs.302cr worth of shares.
