Daily Equities Report – 23 Jul 2021

The markets got over the volatility in first hour of the session and picked up yesterday’s momentum as the day ended with noticeable gains in the benchmark indices. The attention was largely taken by Zomato’s debut as it listed with a 53% premium.
At close, the Sensex was up 139 points(0.26%), at 52,976, and the Nifty was up 32 points(0.20%) at 15,856.
Among the sectors, Nifty realty(1.3%) lead the charts followed by private banks(0.9%). The losses were only in auto(-0.34%), energy(-0.5%) and media(-1%).
In CNX500, the top gainers were SCHAEFFLER(13%) and JSWENERGY(10.8%) whereas, IDEA(-9.7%) and INFIBEAM(-7.7%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, ICICIBANK(3.1%) and ITC(2.6%) gained the most whereas, TATAMOTORS(-2.2%) and GRASIM(-2%) suffered the most losses.
In the volume charts, MAHLOG(16.7x) and MHRIL(11.3x) gained the most as well as witnessed the highest delivery change.
FIIs sold a net of Rs.163cr of worth shares whereas, DIIs bought a net of Rs.2188cr worth of shares.
