Daily Equities Report – 23 Jun 2021
The gap-up opening of the day was quickly eroded as the benchmark indices dipped to the negative zone and despite few attempts to recover, went further down. At close, Sensex was down 282 points (0.54%), to 52306, and the Nifty declined 86 points(0.54%), to 15687.
Among the sectoral indices, only Nifty Auto(0.46%) closed higher whereas Metals(-1.13%) and IT(-0.93%) dragged the markets most.
In the CNX500, BEL(11.3%) and GODREJAGRO(9.8%) gained the most while WOCKPHARMA(-5.9%) and IOB(-5%) were the top losers.
In the Nifty50, MARUTI(2.3%) and TITAN(1.5%) were the top gainers whereas ADANIPORTS(-3.3%) and WIPRO(-2.9%) were the top losers.
GODREJIND(30.8x) and INFIBEAM(14.5x) saw big spikes in daily volumes as well as in terms of deliverable quantities which was topped by ATUL(20.6x).
In the capital market segment, FIIs and DIIs were both net buyers of Rs.3156cr and Rs.1317cr worth of shares.
