Daily Equities Report – 29 Jun 2021
It was another day with a gap up opening and sharp drop to the red zone as profit-booking continued.
At close, the Sensex was down 186 points(0.35%) at 52,550, and Nifty was down 66 points(0.42%) at 15,748.
PSU banks(-1.5%) and metals(-1.2%) contributed the most to the losses while pharma(0.6%) and FMCG(0.5%) were the only two sectors to end the day in green.
In CNX500, SEQUENT(10.75%) and ALOKINDS(9.9%) gained the most while INDIANB(-6.3%) and ATGL(-5%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, CIPLA(1.76%) and POWERGRID(1.9%) were the top gainers while oil giants IOC(-2.26%) and ONGC(-2.1%) were the biggest laggards.
In the volume charts, and NIACL(11x) and NHPC(11.2x), which also saw highest deliverable gains(10.5x) followed by BATAINDIA(9.1x).
In the capital market segment, FIIs bought in on the dip a net of Rs.116cr and so did the DIIs who bought a net of Rs.1810cr worth of shares.
