Daily Equities Report – 31 May 2021
Markets continued their bullish streak as Nifty rose for the seventh consecutive session reaching and closing at fresh record highs at 15,582, 0.95% up. At close, the Sensex was up 1%, ending the day at 51937.
Among the sectors, Nifty Metals(2.1%) made a comeback, followed by energy(1.75%) and realty(1.37%). The steam off PSU Banks(-0.69%) and media(-1.36%) were the draggers.
In the broader CNX500, PNBHOUSING(20%) and REDINGTON(19.5%) touched the upper circuit whereas DISHTV(-7.55%) and ADVENZYMES(-6.42%) were the top losers.
In the Nifty50, JSWSTEEL(3.25%) and ICICIBANK(3%) gained the most whereas M&M(-4.36%) and ADANIPORTS(-0.9%) stayed at the bottom of the list.
In the volume charts, VAKRANGE(38.2x) and FCONSUMER(16.4x) were keenly traded and accordingly the two scrips had the highest spike in deliverable quantities.
For the day, FIIs were the net buyers at Rs.2412 cr and DIIs as well, bought a net of Rs.179 cr.
