Daily Equities Report – 7 Jul 2021

It was a volatile day in the markets as a late last hour surge pushed the indices up to end the day with noticeable gains.
At close, the Sensex was up 193 points(0.37%) at 53055, and the Nifty was up 61 points(0.39%) at 15880.
Nifty metals(2.2%) and realty(2%) contributed the most to the upward push while auto(-0.07%), energy(-0.16%) and media(-0.17%) were the only three indices to end the day in the red zone.
In CNX500, highest gains were clocked by EQUITAS(18.2%) and EDELWEISS(10%) whereas NATCOPHARMA(-6.5%) and TRIDENT(-5%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, steelmakers dominated the gainers chart lead by TATASTEEL(5%) and JSWSTEEL(2.7%) whereas, the top losers were TITAN(-2%) and ONGC(-1.1%).
EQUITAS(35.2x) and UJJIVANSFB(9.3x) gained the most in terms of daily volume change. AIAENG(10.6x) and TEAMLEASE(6.8x) saw some of the highest deliverables change.
Among the institutional investors, FIIs bought a net of Rs.532cr worth of shares while DIIs sold a net of Rs.231cr worth of shares.
