Weekly Derivatives Report – 11 Jun 2021
The Nifty futures trailed the spot market closely to end the week marginally in green, up by 0.77% at 15821. FINNIFTY and BANKNIFTY ended 0.5% and 1% down.
In the stock futures segment, PEL(16.9%) and TATAPOWER(16.5%) were the top gainers of the week whereas ADANIENT(-5.67%) and PETRONET(-5.23%) were at the bottom of the list.
IRCTC and MUTHOOTFIN saw the highest OI build-up, also lost the most market-wide positions, whereas MRF and DEEPAKNTR were shorted the most. Positions in BANKBARODA and MARICO, highest market-wide position gainers, were covered the most while, positions in SUNTV and GODREJCP were unwinded the most.
FIIs turned net buyers of Rs.298cr in the stock futures segment and net sellers in the stock options as they sold a net of Rs.592cr.
In the index segment, a net of Rs.81cr of futures contracts were sold as against Rs.1437cr last week and in the options segment, sold a net of Rs.6040cr, which was Rs.12cr last week.
