Weekly Derivatives Report – 2 Jul 2021

In the July futures series, the highest gainers were IGL(10%) and APOLLOHOSP(8.6%) whereas IDEA(-18.1%) and IDFCFIRSTB(-7.4%) were the top losers.
For the current series, most OI build up was seen in NATIONALUM(126.5%) and GRASIM(74.1%) whereas HDFCLIFE(109.4%) and SUNTV(80.7%) were shorted the most. Positions in MUTHOOTFIN(-42.3%) and COFORGE(-36.4%) were covered the most while most unwinding was done in NTPC(-47.5%) and BATAINDIA(-38.8%).
NTPC and MUTHOOTFIN gained the most in terms of market-wide position limits while NATIONALUM and HDFCLIFE were the top losers in the segment.
In the index segment, FIIs sold a net of Rs.1778cr future contracts and bought a net of Rs.87cr option contracts. In the stock derivatives segment,  a net of Rs.2955cr futures and Rs.531cr option contracts were sold by the FIIs.
