Weekly Derivatives Report – 28 May 2021
For the week, the derivatives segment saw a good run, trailing the spot markets. BANKNIFTY(1.81%) and Nifty(1.9%) had good traction on the back of record high of Nifty.
Among the stocks, CONCOR and PNB gained the most, while BEL and CHOLAFIN were the top losers.
Highest long build up in the week was seen in BANKBARODA and CUMMINSIND whereas COFORGE and GUJGASLTD witnessed highest shorting. Positions were covered the most in CIPLA and TRENT while traders unwinded out of their positions in SAIL and NATIONALUM.
CIPLA and SRF were the top gainers in the market-wide position limits, while BOSCHLTD and CUMMINSIND were the top losers.
FIIs were the net buyers of Rs.5470 cr of index futures and Rs.10,094 cr of index options. Among the stocks, FIIs sold a net of Rs.5711 of future contracts and bought a net of Rs.300 cr of option contracts.
