Weekly Equities Report – 25 Jun 2021

It was a volatile week that was preceded by a all-time high closing week. Attempts to breakout the previous week’s levels were not fruitful as Nifty50 ended the week at 15860 with a 1.13% gain and Sensex closed at 52925 with a 0.87% gain whereas Nifty Midcap had a 1.5% uptick.
Among the sectors, Nifty PSU banks(5.37%) and metals(3.47%) gained the most while energy and media were down 1% each.
In CNX500, VENKEYS(28.6%) and IOB(25.9%) gained the most whereas VAKRANGEE(-11.8%) and TCNSBRANDS(-10.6%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, MARUTI(9.9%) and TATASTEEL(6.7%) gained the most while RELIANCE(-5.5%) and IBULHSGFIN(-2.7%) were the top losers.
GODFRYPHLP was among the stocks to garner the highest interest in terms of volume(15.8x), deliverable change(9.5x).
In the capital market segment, DIIs bought a net of Rs.4729cr whereas FIIs offloaded a net of Rs.2685cr worth of shares during the week.
