Daily Derivatives Report – 2 Jul 2021

Nifty July 2021 futures closed at 15747, at a premium of 25 points over spot closing of 15722.
Among the stock futures in the current series, TATACHEM and TRENT were the top gainers while ADANIENT and IDEA were the top losers.
TORNTPHARM(39.7%) and TATACHEM(31.7%) saw highest OI build up whereas BATAINDIA(20.7%) and HEROMOTOCO(13.8%) were shorted the most. Positions in IRCTC(-6%) and AUBANK(-3.8%) were covered the most while most unwinding was done in MPHASIS(-14.8%) and COFORGE(-7.1%).
In the options segment, most OI additions were seen at 16300(CE) and 15600(PE) levels of Nifty. Most reductions in OI was seen at 34500(CE) level of Bank Nifty and 17000(CE) level of Nifty.
Among the most active stock options segment, TATACHEM and BHARTIARTL, most OI additions were made at 770(CE)/530CE) levels whereas most reductions in OI were made at 730(CE)/540(PE) levels.
MPHASIS and COFORGE gained the most market-wide position limits whereas TORNTPHARM and TATACHEM lost ground.
NATIONALUM was again in the FNO Ban list of the day.
In the index derivatives segment, FIIs bought a net of Rs.98cr futures and sold a net of Rs.5295cr option contracts. In the stock derivatives segment, a net of Rs.234cr future contracts were bought and Rs.192cr worth of option contracts were sold.
