Daily Derivatives Report – 24 May 2021
Nifty May 2021 futures closed at 15190, at a discount of 7.70 points over spot closing of 15197. CONCOR and IOC were the top gainers whereas TORNTPOWER and SHREECEM lost the most.
For the series ending May 27th, highest long build up in OI was seen in Fin Nifty(107%), Bank Nifty(18%) and CONCOR(10%) whereas Nifty witnessed the highest shorting with a 4.4% OI change. Traders turned cautious with ZEEL(-31.1%) and IOC(-30%), as they covered their positions, highest unwinding was seen in INDIGO(-32.1) and ULTRACEMCO(-29.9%).
SBIN and TATASTEEL were the most active stock options and accordingly, highest OI additions were seen at 410(PE)/400(CE) and 1100(CE)/1300(PE) levels respectively.
Among the index options, highest OI additions were seen at 15300(CE) and 15200(PE) levels whereas highest reductions were seen at 14200(PE) and 15700(CE) levels of Nifty.
TORNTPOWER and HAVELLS were the market-wide position limit gainers whereas CONCOR and RAMCOCEM were at the bottom of the list.
BHEL, JINDALSTEL, NATIONALUM, PNB and SAIL are the new entrants to the FNO Ban list.
FIIs sold a net of Rs.370 cr worth of and Rs.674 cr worth of index futures and index options respectively. In the stock derivatives segment, FIIs sold a net of Rs.1790 cr and bought a net of Rs. 221 cr worth of futures and options respectively.
