Daily Equities Report – 1 Jul 2021
The day saw the markets slowly slipping down once again as it was the fourth session ending in red. June automobile sales numbers were released today, bringing cheer for the industry.
The S&P BSE Sensex fell 164 points(-0.31%) to close at 52318, while the Nifty50 ended 41 points(-0.26%) lower at 15,680. However, smallcap indices continued to outperform the benchmark indices.
Among the sectors, Nifty pharma(0.93%) and auto(0.82%) gained the most while energy(-0.57%) and IT(-0.57%) were the top losers.
In CNX500, HAPPSTMNDS(13.2%) and SUDARSCHEM(8.8%) topped the price charts while SEQUENT(-9.5%) and IDEA(-9%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, DRREDDY(2.75%) and HINDALCO(2.1%) gained the most whereas BAJAJFINSV(-2.23%) and BRITANNIA(-1.44%) were the top losers followed by IT giants.
SUDARSCHEM(16.6x) and NAUKRI(15.5x) garnered the most interest in terms of volumes among the investors and traders. Also, the two stocks saw highest deliverable change with 9.6x and 6x spikes, followed by REDINGTON(7.1x).
In the capital market segment, FIIs were again the net sellers of Rs.1245cr worth of shares whereas DIIs continued to buy at lower levels a net of Rs.880cr worth of shares.
