Daily Equities Report – 14 Jul 2021
The markets seemed to take into account yesterday’s CPI data which showed a consolatory easing of inflation, remaining above RBI’s target and tanked in the first hour of the session.
Sensex closed the day at 52,904, up 134 points(0.25%), while Nifty settled 42 points up(0.26%), at 15,854. The recovery was lead by IT biggies.
Nifty IT(3.16%) lead the markets today followed by pharma(0.32%) whereas realty(-0.95%) and PSU bank(-0.5%) took the biggest plunge.
In CNX500, the biggest gainers were CAMS(14.7%) and JMFINANCIL(11.2%) while QUESS(-5.7%) and CENTRALBK(-5%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, IT giants WIPRO(7%) and TECHM(2.56%) gained the most while MARUTI(-1.42%) and ADANIPORTS(-1%) were the biggest laggards.
SOLARINDS(38.8x) and QUESS(24.5x) gained the most in terms of volume as well as in deliverables change.
FIIs sold a net of Rs.1304cr worth of shares and DIIs bought a net of Rs.1336cr worth of shares.
