Daily Equities Report – 2 Jun 2021
It was another day where early gains were negated by marginal profit-booking across sectors. At the end of the trading session, the Sensex was down by 0.16%, ending at 51,849, and the Nifty ended at 15,576, with 1.30 points of gain.
All the sectors except IT, FMCG and FinServ ended in green, lead by PSU Bank(3%) and Metal(2.18%).
In the CNX500, SUMICHEM(13.74%) and MOTHERSUMI(13.4%) were the top gainers, thanks to the bright projections post great Q4 results. RESPONIND(-4.68%) and CGCL(-4.28%) were the top losers. In the Nifty50, UPL(2.78%) continued its bullish run along with TATASTEEL(2.6%) whereas ITC(-2.88%) and TECHM(-1.23%) were the top losers.
In the volume chart, SUMICHEM(27.36x) and RESPONIND(14.48x) saw the biggest change for the day. The two also saw the highest deliverable quantity change with 11.9x and 14.9x spike, alongside CRISIL(12.79x).
There was huge volumes of buying and selling(>2.5x) from FIIs as they bought a net of Rs.921 cr while, DIIs continued their buying spree as they lapped up another Rs.241 cr worth of securities.
