Daily Equities Report – 27 May 2021
On the day of expiry of May derivatives contracts, BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 settled with marginal gains like yesterday. BSE Sensex gained 98 points to end at 51,115, while the broader Nifty 50 index added 36 points to settle at 15,338.
Highest contribution to the day’s gains were by Nifty PSU Bank(2.85%), Bank(1.14%) and IT(1.14%).
In the broader CNX500, ALKYLAMINE(7.95%) and DCMSHRIRAM(7.73%) were the top gainers whereas WOCKPHARMA(-14.24%) and DISHTV(-8.53%) were among the top losers.
In the Nifty50, SHREECEM(3.78%) and SBIN(3.2%) were the top gainers with private banks also seeing some green shoots. However, HDFC(-2.83%) and BAJFINANCE(-1.54%) broke their two-days’ momentum, ending the day as top losers.
Among the volume charts, ATGL(28x) and STLTECH(13.9x) gained high traction.
Traders showed great interest in Adani Gas(40.7x) and Adani Transmission(33.8x) as they topped the deliverables chart of the day.
FIIs were the net sellers of Rs.660 cr, first time in the week and DIIs bought a net of Rs.112 cr worth of shares.
