Daily Equities Report – 9 Jul 2021

The markets closed in red for the second straight session despite attempts to recover from the early losses. Amid frenzy about IPO, a dip in volume traded was also seen.
At close, the Sensex was down 183 points(0.35%) at 52,386, and the Nifty was down 38 points(0.24%) at 15,690.
Among the sectors, Nifty realty(2.4%) and metals(2%) gained the most whereas private banks(-0.66%), banks(-0.57%) and energy(-0.5%) tanked the most.
In CNX500, EDELWEISS(10%) and JSL(9.7%) gained the most while TASTYBITE(-3.8%) and INFIBEAM(-3.8%) were the top losers.
In Nifty50, TATASTEEL(4.2%) and BAJAJFINSV(3.6%) topped the price chart whereas BAJAJ-AUTO(-1.9%) and TCS(-1.4%) were the top losers.
DHANI(25.5x) and BDL(16.3x) garnered most interest in terms of volume while in the deliverable changes list, APLLTD(12.5x) and SWANENERGY(9x) were the top gainers, lead by DHANI(14x).
FIIs sold a net of Rs.1124cr worth of shares while DIIs bought a net of Rs.106cr worth of shares.
